... Had my first run in a very long time!

Ok, so it wasn't far - Around my local park and a path that bisects the golf course before returning through the houses in one giant circle, but at least it was hilly.

I know there is probably a running thread on here already, but I don't see it off hand, so how many others of you run and what tips can you impart on us?

I do a bit too. Sadly due to back and sciatic problems, much slower than I used to be but managed a very gentle 8 miles yesterday morning. Endurance is reasonable but speed has gone.

Thanks, I have posted in said thread. As for speed, I hope I'll get faster with time, but it's my feet that are the problem, so I'll see what happens long - term!

As for 8 miles? Wow!

Humbug! Don't t rub it in. Regular readers of my ramblings will recall me getting back into it about 2 years ago until my hip became more and more painful.

Hope you keep it going and and goes well, Mad Doug Jogger.

To be honest, I'll need a new orthopaedic splint soon anyway. That will help my right foot stay in a neutral position (my foot is inverted outwards, so I at least have some killer callouses! 😆)
