What a nice post @Cuchilo ,my mum had to have her yorkie put to sleep friday..she was so sad..
I dare say he loved his life and you made him very happy..

Losing a pet can be the hardest thing. Sometimes harder than when you lose a person. When my parents died I toughed it out, but when my lovely Lab had to be put down I wept like a baby and was inconsolable for days. Not that I didn't love my parents, but it's just ... different. I really feel for you. Hang in there.

Having lost my best friend in 2011 I know exactly how you feel, she was a 17 year old dog, I've never cried more
