Good luck Woffles

I'm sure you'll be fine picking up my shopping, (Don't forget the jaffa cakes) oh and don't forget the 15 mile detour to pick up me laundry too from the dry cleaners ... such a great sport that woman... all that for me, with bad knees too

Have fun and enjoy

Ta, all.

Well, the knees are still an issue. 6 miles. I took it incredibly easily. Considering I've been off the bike for so long I was expecting it to hurt legs, lungs etc. It hurt nowhere except the knees. The knees hurt. Bah!

That apart...

what *joy* to be on the bike even for a short while.

I just wish my knees would not be so stuffed up.

Well done!

At least it's just the knees. I mean, I know knees are pretty vital, and you can't just ignore the pain, but if everything else was ok, then at least you've kept the basic fitness, and the knees, presumably, eventually, can be sorted. Can they?

Good for you Waffles. Look after those knees and have another go when you can.

That's a bummer. I hope your knee problems improve with time.

My wife also has painful knees after a ride. Note: 'after', not 'during'. When we're together we cycle at a very slow pace (<10mph) and can manage a reasonable spin - 20 miles or so. But they flare up shortly after we get home. In her case it's probably a permanent thing.
