Took wing mirror off on commute home

Ok so I didn't mean to but car did hit elbow with wing mirror nearly bl##dy knocked me off elbow sore

As it happens he did for a second or two but being a ugly ex prop forward I make a ugly sight when I have lost the plot which to my shame I had and was ranting and frothing at the mouth he soon drove off

Nasty - hope the pain subsides quickly. I wouldn't worry about the wing mirror- the f*****s rarely use them anyway!

He will pay for it anyway. Wing mirrors cost about £20 so it wouldnt be much of a burden. Bearing that cost in mind, I am amazed at how many cars still dont have mirrors or have broken ones. It takes 5 mins to order online and fit them yourself.

And the rest! Depending on the make/model you can be looking well into the hundreds for some mirrors.

Oh, I was refering to my mums. £20 for an electric for a Corsa.

If its a BMW with auto dimming mirrors you can be looking at £250+ for the glass alone.

£20 for the glass not the mirror. Like folk have said, if its electric and heated, and body coloured you are looking at£200 to £400 painted. Not cheap.

Did the OP get the reg. report him for leaving the scene of an accident. That will get him in trouble.

I was about to say that! One of the reasons I don't want a car anymore, simple repairs that used to cost a fiver are long gone. Now even the rear view mirror is wired up.
Nothing to do with a car seems to cost less than £100 anymore!

OH's the same - although its his car, I use it quite often, but make myself scarce when theres talk of repair bills!
Only fair - he uses my bikes sometimes, I never ask him to fork out for repairs on them!
