I was going to include Taxi in my list, but I've seen a few episodes recently and it was a bit mawkish, apart from Andy Kaufmann's mad bits and Danny DeVito's best ever performances. In fact, Danny DeVito on form is about as good as it gets.
Jim was my favourite
until you said that I'd forgotten about the incredible Spirit of Asia series that he did. If anything on TV inspired me about what an astonishing planet we live on, it was that.
Even his older series, some of which are now scientifically out of date, are incredible - perhaps even more so when you consider the technology they were working with.

Breaking Bad is completely flawless. Would not change a single frame of it.
Game of Thrones
Dexter (Seasons 1, 2 and 4. Anything after 4 can - and should - be ignored.)
Started watching Rome which is pretty good.
Top Gear when they went on their epic adventures.

Breaking bad didn't get interesting for me until series 4...... I watched it out of guilt as my mother bought me the Blu Rays as a xmas present
