I am seriously looking at the Specialized Sirrus Expert in carbon. It's £1600.00 so quite expensive. It seems to tick most of the boxes for me i.e. flat bar road type bike but takes 30mm tyres which will do for canal paths etc.
It has those 'zert' inserts which the salesmen (who are honestly not biased^_^) tell me are very effective.
Just wondering.........if anyone has a Sepcialised of similar spec.......what do you think of it.

Why do you need zertz inserts if it's a carbon frame?

As ever, go ride the bike and see what you think. If I wanted to spend that on a flat bar carbon, it wou, debt be a specialized, but built from the frame from a GB manufacturer like pearsons

I think it is just a Roubaix with a flat bar. My friend has a Tarmac and loves it. Try it out - if you like it, why not?

Don't you think you are a teeny bit biased though?

They are a british company, headquartered in tne UK, designed in the UK. I realise tne parts are all made In the Far East etc, but put together In the UK

What's wrong with having personal preference and indeed experience?

To me they are a manufacturer of bikes, a company that develops and makes them. If the semantics are incorrect, so be it
