I thought the Golf GTi v. BMW was more interesting than the cycling thing. I would go for the Golf over the BMW every time.

The cycling thing was a bit of light hearted entertainment. Does anyone watch Eastenders for hints on domestic bliss?

Ok, it was funny, but annoying! So I guess they achieved their objective, but god I wish someone in the bbc would take the issue seriously.

There was a platform to send out decent messages to both cyclists and drivers, but instead top gear just used it to make cyclists look stupid, and in the main not worthy of equality on the roads. Disappointed, but to be honest expected nothing less.

There were some decent messages in there but they were subtle and amusing. I don't think they made anyone but themselves, as usual, look stupid.

It was Jeremy Clarkson so I have a pretty good idea. I have had the misfortune of being in other people's houses when he has been on TV. The man is a complete egotistical idiot with some horrendously prejudicial views. I for one would not give this clown the time of day.

Pretty amusing I thought, although I think at times my face didn't look too impressed judging from my better half's reaction. The final advert had a nice little nod that cycling doesn't have to be in conflict with driving.

I think some people think East Enders is real.

Clarkson has found something very sellable and has made a lot of money from it for both himself and many others. The program is nowadays more about entertainment and less about information.
