The thing the edit didn't do well, or the panel of 3 cycling bods didn't manage to do, was for their objections to be amusing but informative. That could have been really good, showing cyclists are not dour people.
Perhaps this is just part of the style of the program in general, that the presenters don't get shown being challenged but I'm sure that within the parameters of the program being an amusing personality based magazine, that would have been possible.

There was a platform to send out decent messages to both cyclists and drivers, but instead top gear just used it to make cyclists look stupid, and in the main not worthy of equality on the roads. Disappointed, but to be honest expected nothing less.

I reckon there are surprisingly few bad bus drivers. Problem is that there are a few surprisingly bad bus drivers.

Anyhow, at least they didn't say anything about bikes holding traffic up. Partly, I suppose, because they wobbled around the West End at speeds that I wouldn't generally consider wise. And at least their ''final version'' didn't make the cyclist the enemy; they even hinted that cyclists were actually freeing up space on the roads for cars.
