I'm here in London and although it's getting better, I see loads RLJ. It seems worse the further out I travel. I see the same cyclists in central London wait patiently at lights but to see them fly through when I head out east. There's little difference in the junctions/traffic so I can only assume its the likelyhood of being caught.
Well, we don';t have a lot of red lights, I'll admit that. Maybe social pressures as well (and if you're local, the police will know you, by name!) Doesn't stop some of the drivers though, including some who rage about pavement cyclists, but happily admit to doing 80+ on a 60 mph road, and become incandescent at being called law-breaking hypocrites.
