For Velogames break points watchers, the group is too big to get points. Needs to be max 30 riders and I think 30" min ahead. The halfway point where they measure this is about the foot of the Cat 4 climb though, so you might still get lucky

The gap needs to be much bigger but it’s stabilised.

Pollitt, Asgreen and a big Norwegian lad controlling (can't see if it's Abrahamsen) is going to be hard to get away from without getting cooked.

Healy said he discussed it with Vingegaard. I'm pretty sure they were all agreed. It's really not contentious. Would have been very different if the stage win was on the line.

I was amazed there was even debate over it. Yes, there'd been a few half hearted attacks from that group in the previous few kms including by Jonas and Jorgenson but the GC riders weren't really racing and you couldn't really argue that Pog had crashed do to being put under pressure. If he'd had a mechanical I doubt there'd have been much debate about the others waiting and this crash was pretty much the same. I'd have been far more surprised if they hadn't waited. Obviously if they were fighting for the stage or one of the GC riders had already attacked it would have been different. It sometimes feels like people just want controversy (the same with people giving Johannesen grief for an unfortunate racing incident - it's cycling, it happens)
