I guess we get to find out if this is hard enough tomorrow

Well, if that’s not hard enough, I am pretty sure this is.

The Not Dauphine did it this year and del Toro schooled everyone

Doesn't bode well.

It's been in the Not The Dolphin it's the Cote-du-Rhône-Alpes a few times.
Vingegaard won on in in '22 - when he was still chaperoning Roglic around. I think that's the stage where he was a little Froome-Wiggins on La Toussuire - Les Sybelles . Kept slightly distancing Roglic then looking over his shoulder and waiting - he was allowed to take the stage victory

Must admit I don't watch it anymore, however seen a few "highlights" programmes the last few days and it is like the SPL. Not for me nowadays.

You don't watch it , as it's not for you, but you happened to be passing through the room when the highlights programmes were on a few times.
I'd try another channel - just a suggestion - rather than coming into the TdF thread to let everyone know (again), that you're not interested.

Accept that is just how it is going to be and watch the race for 3rd.
If Pog wasn’t there we’d be moaning about Jonas. Well, most of us. 😉

I think it’s still a race for second. There’s 5 riders within 1.30 of him and he’s not been looking at his best. Remco could easily wipe out his current deficit on the TT. It would be a good, tight race but for Pog but it feels like most Tours I’ve watched would have been close but for [insert dominant rider of the day]

Que? I think he rode like the only rider that isn't ignoring Pogacar. That's why the rest can just sit on him. They only ride wrt to what the other podium hopefuls are doing, they could stop for lunch while Pogacar rode off and not be bothered.

That pacing was a bit limiting. He's trying to control them.all

Changing topics ....trying to win in a break has become a total team effort

Trek.stage 4 , jayco stage 13, EF stage 14 ( they didn't win I know ). Stage 9 was old skool just a bunch of riders on a break that luckily had MvdP in it

Vingegaard to DK TV2 - he doesn't have punch because of Giro (so targeting longer climbs), felt his legs were great, pleased with his ride. But they'd overestimated the climb, thought it would be harder than it was (hence not dropping everyone) - the middle downhill section made it easier.

Hmm, I thought the Giro was supposed to have been barely more than a training ride for him? He seems to say something similar to this every year. It’s a bit strange to say they over-estimated the climb when he couldn’t follow. I guess we’ll see tomorrow though.

I'm not so sure. He gained time on Evenpoel today. Not much but some.
Things will become clearer or closer tomorrow. Anyone too much in the red today will pay tomorrow.
