Magnus cort... Of course
Cort has always been a bit of a weird one - he can completely disappear in races, but on those occasions where he's set himself a target he's ridiculously committed to acheiving it. The Tour stage he won in '22 (after trundling round in the polkadots a while) was a case in point - dropped on a climb but he came back like Terminator, winning a loooooong uphill sprint that made my legs burn in sympathy just watching it.

In his last season, and wearing the Dannebrog jersey as national champ (first time in his career) he really, really wants a stage win in it. Whether it happens or not you're going to see a lot of him trying for it

Mads is keen

Mads hasn't won a race this season, he's not hungry, he's starving. He wants a stage win most, but is targeting the green as well. If he's got any form at all (and it usually takes him a few stages to build, especially as he hasn't raced recently) then someone is going to get eaten.

No surprise to see both riders in the break today. The Cat 1 might be a little too much for them (I'd expect it to be selective with this group being a touch on the large side)

Ahhhh.... Looks like Netcompany INEOS really wanted the mountain jersey (&/or stage), so aren't giving much room since Bernal punctured out of the break

No, road stage from Skibby.

Was that the stage where Skibby had said he didn't have legs, was feeling slow and asked is doc for something? The doc told him he was giving him the magic juice and injected him with what he later found out was saline solution, but he absolutely FLEW that day

They also failed into win in Mexico city...

This is the Law of the Conservation of Sporting Karma. My eldest discovered it. In its basic form it states that if a rider/team you support wins - in any sporting genre - then another rider/team you support must lose, to preserve your absolute level of sporting Karma. The Mexicans found that out on a national scale with Del Toro's win / Mexico's loss.
