Carcassonne now forecast for 39C on Tuesday and 4 consecutive days of 38C.
Foix has 37C as does Pau.

I hope everyone is carrying the odd spare ounce, coming into this first week….

You posted this as I was checking forecasts.
Currently I am watching L’Occitané stage one and it was raced at only marginally lower temperatures than that forecast I posted.

Same. Campenaerts, Affini, Armirail and Jorgenson is somme pretty serious firepower. It's clear they've also selected with the first week in mind

Del Toro and Grossgartner both beat Jorgenson in the Tirrano TT. McNulty is also pretty handy in a TT. Vermeesch beat the likes of Bisseger in the UEA Tour time trial at the start of the year. They won't be ONCE level strong, but they won't be no hopers either.

So invisible he doesn't show in the results between the 5th place Austrian and, presumably, 7th place Norwegian who is shown as 6th in the official results.
