Pog almost bins it on the same corner!

One RMC commentator reckons Pog eased up after that and gifted the stage to Remco. I suspect he's trolling online forums. 😉

Another commentator (they seem to have 4 or 5, some overall, some following particular riders) reckons it's the end of Pog's domination because he's been beaten twice in two stages by the same rider. I suspect he's trolling Pog. 😉

28 seconds is a fairly big gain, not that it matters.

It may not matter looking forwards to first place but he's put over a minute more between him and 3rd.

He really smacked that kerb. Never quite had the bike settled going into that corner did he.

That's what I thought too. I noticed his back wheel jumping around before the front wheel went. A weight distribution issue?
I also noticed that it was those who turned in early that had issues. Those taking it wide and cutting in had no issues.

Great ride from him, the result of a lot of wind tunnel work. Knew he had a good TT in him, knew he could descend well, but hadn't expected third after Remco and Pog

Anything can happen in the mountains, if Lenny or Ayuso have a good day they could jump into 2nd or 3rd. Wouldn't rule out Remco going backwards but he does appear to be on his best climbing form. Depends on the dynamic of the big GC stages.

Going to be intriguing between del Toro & Seixas. On paper you'd expect del Toro to get 3rd but Paul is certainly a wunderkind.

It seems Remco and RedBull got the knock at 10pm last night. Probably scared of waking him up if they were any later.

Other teams have apparently been tested at other points but have stayed quiet about it - not sure why except the para about it being an exceptional circumstance thing might be a bit much for them to want to put it out into the public. But it looks like either they have some very specific evidence that absolutely everyone is at it, or they're just target testing in order of priority (based pretty much on performance)

Or *conspiracy hat on* they tested Jonas & Pog before the big mountain stage as that was their strong point, and they tested Remco before the TT as that's his speciality. *conspiracy hat off*

10PM is within the normal bounds. The period they shouldn't be testing without a specific suspicion is 11pm to 6am (unless the rider has given a 60 minute time within that as their "known location" time).

Intermediate Sprint deep.in the stage is like catnip for trek and mads . Philipsen gets in and survives the hills trek may unleash a second attack with Quinn . everyone knows this .plan B MvdP
