I can't remember where but I saw/read that he didn't want to put any particular goals or pressure on himself this year but surely that will have to change at some point.
He's contracted untill 2026.

TBH, I thought that's what he said last year, and yes, I think he'll have to set a goal or two - or at least have a clear role - pretty soon. Hope it works out

Stage 6: The sprinters’ teams should be all over this one. A couple of longer climbs over Wildhaus and Hemberg early on, but there should be plenty of time for regroupment. A headwind will also make it hard for escapees. Another hot one here in CH today: 30°C and full sunshine

Yeah but Tao seems to be keeping everything very low key - on top of the run of bad luck

I'm wondering if he is another that will never get back to their prior form after a serious crash. There seem to be a few out there. Jonas feels like an exception at present but even there I'm not sure he's at the level he was previously (hard to tell as the only real gauge is Pog who is pretty unique). Obviously Tao's big season was also the strange Covid year so it's hard to know for certain if it was a true reflection of his potential although he was looking good up until the crash in the 2023 Giro.
