Fantastic career . He has been the true face of UK cycling more so than froome or Wiggins. ...imo

I love how he slipped into "elder statesman" mode the last few years, and I really enjoyed his podium in '22 - the only rider anywhere near Jonas and Pog and having a laugh with them (that one attack he made just for shoots and giggles )

He was like a proxy rider for all the viewers watching those two race . It was amusing

I'm annoyed with myself that I never checked the route in any detail. Today it goes really near where some friends of mine live. I should have arranged a visit.

That is annoying..often I feel what a faff watching by the road is ...I never regret going if it's near by . I avoid TdF stage starts and finishes though ....out of experience. Mid route or climbs is best . Tt stages on a slow bit is good
