I thought they got booted for the bumping and barging?

Hi - my post was nothing to do with that incident. At the start of the race the flag was dropped and how much progress did the umpires car make? - zero...it just makes me wonder what planet the organisers are on sometimes. Make sure the road ahead is clear before the flag is dropped and then accelerate out of the way. Cycling seems to have a problem with basic avoidable risk....avoidance!!!

Do they have to climb seated under the new rules?

I watched a race a couple of days ago - post April 1 - and several of them were out of the saddle going uphill.

WVA, MvdP, Julian Alan Phillips, Teuns and Asgreen - together at last! Oh and Haller who will probably win now I missed him.

Well, that seemed unjust!

I thought he deserved it. He made it back after a crash or mechanical at one point, was the only one who could follow VDP going all-out up the Oude Kwaremont AND Paterberg, pulled hard with VDP on the long run-in and then out-manoeuvred him in the sprint having expertly managed his resources over 250+km.
