Slightly off topic, strictly speaking, as it's not about bike touring, but those that enjoyed French Revolutions by Tim Moore should try Spanish Steps by the same author. It's another very funny travel journal about the author walking the pilgrim trail in northern Spain to Santiago de Compostella, with a donkey. I've just finished reading it and thought it was very good.

Ok, back to bicycles from donkeys...

'The Hungry Cyclist' by Tom Kevil-Davies is great fun.
'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' by Nick and Richard Crane is wonderfully excentric.
'Full Tilt' by Delvra Murphy is good.
Al Humpreys books are good especially 'Thunder and Sunshine'.
Josie Dew is a good writer I've only read 'Wind in my Wheels'

'The man with no bike clips'. by Alan Duckworth. Real tales of a complete amateur cyclist on day rides in lancashire. Very evocotive and you relate to so much of it.
