Is the threaded piece part of the moulding that makes up the pressure housing?

I bought a cheapo track pump from Aldi for under £10 to leave at my sister's house in Devon. It isn't as well made as the Specialized pump that I use at home in Yorkshire but it works 90% as well!

The only problem is that they only tend to sell them once or twice a year.

I just did a quick search on eBay and similar pumps are available for under £10 including delivery!

More info would help... if it's the hose assy that's failed measure the thread and try to find a replacement... if it's a boss on the pump itself can you drill and tap it to fit a male-male adaptor?

The Lidl track pumps are also good (the steel body one, avoid the plastic) - I now have them in my car, the garage and Daughter's shed. Same thing as with Aldi though, you have to be there the week they are sold :okay:

I cannot think where i would find a male to male adapter, but you are correct that is what is needed. Thanks.

Do you know what the thread size is? male-male adaptors are common in hydraulics / pneumatics and available in a fair few sizes - typically / perhaps most relevantly 1/8" BSP and various metric fine-pitch threads. As much as it pains me to use ebay there's usually a good selection on there.

This of course would require enough meat on the pump body to drill and tap the thread, plus associated tools and the hardware itself.

While I'm all for saving stuff it may ultimately be more viable just to replace the pump.
