With regard to the post immediately above this, l’ve dug my ‘EMUK’ mirrors out of the garage & put them in the Kodiaq (so l don’t forget them next weekend)

However, at some point, whilst they were in there my father-in-law (before he died) must have had the idea of folding the glass back
That negates one of the benefits of EMUK mirrors
I can only guess at an approximation of where l’ll need them to tow with

Fit them, stand behind the car and see if you can see the drivers seat, repeat for the other side, you shouldn't be too far out

Whilst standing (circa) a foot proud of the vehicle sides, to allow for the width of a caravan?

Well, after using it twice(?), & my having to rescue it on its 3rd trip*, daughter & her chap are now selling their caravan
They've just bought/moving to a new house soon, so could do with the money

I've got to go & collect it from where it's stored, as we know the purchasers, & they're moving onto the same site where ours is located

Sunday 3rd

At 14:00, I went straight down from work, to where it was stored (not very far from jct 39/M1)

Whilst waiting, I put the towball on, 13 - 7 adapter (as the van's still on 12N/12S plugs), & the mirrors
Once they arrived & let me in, tyres were checked, & needed a few PSI
Lights were checked, mirrors set correctly, number plate on
(yes, I know the original number plate was wrongly located, but I forgot my velcro to correctly site mine)

Then it was onto the M1, & right up to HookMoor (where it joins A1)
It was a circa 45 minute trip, due to traffic, but l didn’t like seeing the instant MPG’ readout with it hitched up…… (less than 1/2 of the 'solo' MPG)

Yes, I know the registration plate is wrongly placed, he stuck his on there, so I just used 're-usable zip-ties' to attach it

The new owners were waiting, but their pitch had a car on it (& no owner around), so it was temporarily placed elsewhere
The site manager will relocate it later in the week

Our 'van is just out of sight, to my immediate left

The new to us Dandy trailer has had some box section replaced on the chassis, the rest totally taken back to bare metal and undersealed, reasonably priced I feel.
I was panicking I’d have to take up the floor so they could have total access.
Now to clean the scabby wheels and repaint and we’re good to go.

It rained when dropped it off and picked it up. The welders didn’t take pics. I’ll take some of the underside when the weather picks up. Stickers added(daughter’s nickname and her helping remove 12vdc for Temu usb’s) and the outer cleaned with “pink stuff”. Internally it’s being more or less totally overhauled.
