It is indeed hypnotic! Im in no way tired, but as I sat watching,I could feel myself feeling a bit drowsy! Mind you,SWMBO is away and Ive had a rather large lunch of Egg and Chips(a rare pleasure)so that might have something to do with it too.Quite enjoyed it though.

They show these in Denmark every now and again. The camera is places right at the front so is better to watch than the Ops post. They can go on for a couple of hours and include routes in Denmark and Norway. Some of the Norweigan routes are stunning.

Found another good one - Zermatt to Gornergrat

What this has that my original didn't:
- sunshine
- better image quality
- occasional views of the Matterhorn

What it doesn't have:
- all the bells!

Parts 2 and 3 link from that YouTube page - there is also a timelapse one that does the whold thing in a couple of minutes!

OK, this is nothing to do with trains, but this also popped up on my facebook and I like it.
And it is the only use of a selfie stick I have seen that I approve of! :okay:

It reminds me of this:
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of --Wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew --
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
John Gillespie Magee

The bit about 'sunlit silence' makes much more sense for a glider pilot than a Spitfire pilot (which Magee was) - although even gliders are not quiet inside!
Killed in a flying accident at the age of 19.
