Hi,

I've got a mouth infection which I have had before and been prescribed anti-biotics.
Going to make a dentist appointment today and will probably be prescribed them again. I think the tooth will need to come out this time.

Anyway my question is, Is it safe to train with a mouth infection or am I risking the infection getting in my blood stream or anything like that.

Thanks
Will

Safe. Unless you feel like sh*t. in which case wait until you feel better.

Common sense really.

Just watch out for the cold air.

Had an abscess earlier this year, and the cold wind hitting my mouth felt like I was being repeatedly punched.

Just don't use your teeth to pedal and you should be fine!
However, if your resting heart rate is higher than normal, or if you just don't feel up to it, don't train, you will probably just end up doing more damage and have to take more time off training.

When I had my wisdom teeth removed I didn't ride for 2 weeks. No problem.

Ride too quickly and it can put you right back. IMO err on the cautious side
