Trek Alpha - Is it OK to get 25 tyres instead of original 23?

If you are going to get the tyres from Halfords you might as well get their own brand tubes. IMHO for the money you cant beat them.

Edit: just read you've got the tyres from Chain Reaction. I'd still get the tubes from Halfords though.

I just wanted to say thank you to the members for the help and advice.

I followed a GCN tech video on how to change tyres, so managed to successfully fit a set of new Schwalbe inner tubes and Conti Gator Hardshell tyres after an early Sunday morning ride.

The 25C went on a treat, spin spot on and there are no clearance issues. I'll see how they feel next weekend.

Hi, @DSK ! On the off chance you (or others?) see this reply, what would you say about putting 28 on it? Asking, since I now own a 2011 2.3 Trek and was looking into slightly wider or, potentially, much wider options. Thanks and have a great day!

28mm should fit tbh.
