Thanks for that Jef I have never heard of it before. It may be an interesting ride on my motorbike,

But it is not a UK end to end is it? They wont sell fish and chips and pints of bitter and thats what I miss.

The cost to get our bikes over would be €100 each return plus the train fare to Cornwall and then back from JOG to Stansted. Plus the hassle.

You can order the bikes online when they are in Stock and I am sure I can find an address in Cornwall to have them sent to. Even if its a bike shop close to Lands End where they can give the bike a service and the once over.

I assume you are flying Ryanair. What will you do with the bikes when you finish? If you take them home then you will still be paying €50.
I'm also in a bit of a dilemma. I hate flying with the bike. I'm arriving in Porto at 9pm at night at the end of this month to begin a tour. The thought of assembling the bike at 10pm at night in the dark is not a nice one. There is a Decathlon near Porto airport. I can buy a cheap Hybrid for £150. I'm paying Ryanair £100 return just for the bike! I could hopefully sell the Decathlon bike for £50 in Faro before I leave. If I can't I can give it to some poor soul and I would only be £50 out for a lot less hassle.
The biggie is. Is the bike good enough for a 10 day tour, though only 50 miles a day? Will I hate it compared to my personal setup touring bike? Hmmm...

I know exactly what you mean Jim.

The last time we went to Palma we hired €5 Per day shopping bikes. 3 gears with a basket in front. The first day we rode 70kms. It was different, no hurry and a good laugh. We had them for a week and could have Toured the Island on them. The only thing I would do different is to take my own saddle. The bikes didnt compare to my Kogas, but I didnt expect them to.

Looking at it moneywise and riding wise, we would be better off using our own bikes for Lejog.
