My Son has had one 6 months, everything's fine apart from the wheels (650 not 700s) which has already needed truing and tensioning and when I got it home I thought I'd check the wheel bearings and 3 out of 4 cones were already seriously pitted /fcku'd.
This can happen with cheap wheels that are fitted to zillions of bikes more expensive than the Triban.
Otherwise it's very sound. I'd happily buy one but I'd swap the wheels for some Aksiums or cheap Shimanos.

only problems ive had with mine is spokes breaking in the rear wheel, mostly coz im 20st. had my lbs swap out the spokes for dt swiss and all has been well since. ive had it 6 months and covered 1000miles

have had to tension the spokes on my brothers too.....

seriously though, its a £300 bike the reviews will all say, great bike for the money better than some £700 bikes....
i dont get why you wont read the old reviews but your choice.
Buy it or dont, its your call, i liked it so bought my brother one.

Ok, so what are you actually trying to achieve?

You ignored all previous advice, you seem to be ignoring newly offered advice.
You have tried the bike several times.

Are you hoping we buy you one or something?

So I ask again....

What are you trying to achieve/learn?

There is more than enough opinion on the bike all over this forum, which you may have read....

Unless your being a troll I don't get your angle.

You want the same people to give the same opinions, but this time you want them addressed personally to yourself?

Steady-on you lot .....
Nothing wrong with asking for fresh or updated opinions is there? Don't get the animosity frankly, if you've nothing to say about the bike, then no worries.

Did you read his dismissive response to jifdave above?

I suggest he sets up camp outside a Decathlon and garners opinions there, cos all other opinions are probably days old, and therefore useless!

Well I've just re-read this thread for the nth time and don't see any issues to get excited about, it seems a pretty straight forward request to me.
I posted infor that I hadn't posted elsewhere ... maybe others might too.
Cycle forums are full of the same questions over and over again, should we just leave a note on the door to go straight to the search facilities 'cos we've answered 99% of likely queries already ....

as i said before i wanna know how the bike is handling after the time of purchase there is a big difference on how the bike preforms during the first day and like a month later and from the posts i have seen this is a different one
