Just sold my Wilier road bike as it's not been ridden any more as I'm out on my other bikes, but a bit sad to see it go

It was my first real road bike and we had some great adventure s together

I have no idea how many thousands of miles I rode on my Trek fx. Parts gradually wore out and were replaced, but it never let me down. An absolute workhorse.

But I never liked it or felt any attachment to it. When I sold it a couple of months ago I felt relief and excited at the prospect of having some older steel bikes.

I wish I had never come across this thread.

Back in 2009 I bought a Specialized Allez. Since then I have discovered a love for cycling, exploring and pushing myself. At some point in time I am going to have to admit that I should get a new bike, but I have become so emotionally attached to it that I can't bear the prospect. It almost makes me cry just thinking of the day.

Maybe I should just admit that I will never be able to sell it, and start making arrangements to be burried with it.
