...and for those worryong about the additional weight of disk brakes, the word is that Specialized have been able to make the frames of the disc bikes lighter than the frame of the equivalent caliper brake version. I can't remember the specifics but it's something to do with not requiring "strength" at points which are necessary for caliper models...

It is not for commute or CX racing.It will be used on tow paths,tracks & some tarmac.My plan is to get a second set of wheels with road tyres,should I decide to do a road only ride,2 minutes & away we go.
