And why not? The US has multiple levels of governance that does not allow random acts. Anything that Obama promised has been diluted and /or rejected by the

Don't worry so much! There are plenty of layers of government (worldwide) to ameliorate anything that anyone may be 'dreading'. No politician has ever done what they get you to believe in their election spoutings - why should this President be any different in the 'execution' of his policies?
Take Francois Hollande - he is a Socialist President and supporter of Mrs Clinton. His actions on behalf of France have aggravated terrorist threat and action in France ( Nice, Bataclan in Paris etc), and whetted Sarkozy's appetite for a return to power (activating the 'threat' of a Le Pen far right). Cameron has already fallen...
What this tells us is that PEOPLE want to have their views heard as life isn't so good. However they vote, it is up to us with our opinions to respect that choice and see what might work. Hopefully, things will work out for the United States and citizens find some unity in the next four years - without any "buttons being pressed".

That is the saving grace in all of this. He may be President, but its the back room boys who pull the collective strings.

Are you sure about that? Sounds like complacent Pollyanna rubbish to me.

personality type characterised by irrepressible optimism evident in the face of even the most adverse or discouraging of circumstances. It is sometimes used pejoratively, referring to someone whose optimism is excessive to the point of naïveté or refusing to accept the facts of an unfortunate situation.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I know Pollyanna types ... It always amazes me how some people can find positive things to say in the most awful or dangerous situations!

Channel 4 News interviewed an elderly American Trump supporter yesterday. She said that she had voted for him because "he seems like such a nice man" - WTF!

I am amazed that even the most ardent Trump supporter could call him 'nice'. Would that be because of his kindly attitude towards women, foreigners, and people of a different religion? Maybe it is because he is so humble? The way that he is so respectful towards people who hold different views to his own?

What is the opposite of a Pollyanna personality type? That's me ... (grumpy, negative old git?). Trump is in, sanity is out, we are all doomed!

I would think WW3 was more likely with Clinton antagonising Russia at every opportunity.

I'm pretty happy Trump has won, at least we have avoided WW3 with Russia for now. Hillary had that big red button primed for the launch in January!
If you believe that you are clearly on the happy pills. What happens when Putin walks into Latvia? What happens when Trump takes on ISIS with non conventional weapons? What happens when Putin and Trump start bombing the refugee camps in Syria? Better than Hilary? And then he locks up the Muslims in the US - just how is that going down on the world stage. Don't worry just sexually molest some women - not a crime in the US in a post Trump world.
