Well done you. You definitely have a talent there. I cannot draw for toffee and am mightily impressed with your work.

Great to have an outlet for creativity. You've been able to see something you appreciate and understood how you could try to recreate your own versions. Keep on developing your skills and creating. You can also see how you can improve your work and recognise were you need to be going.

and that's why i never tried it. The teacher asked me why i didn't do art and i said "i can't draw". he said people that paint see things different, they know, for instance, that a coffee cup hasn't got a line around it, but Joe Bloggs will draw a coffee cup with a line around it".

OMG  i remember thinking this when i was very very little (i was once, although I know at 6 ft that's hard to believe!).

must have always been there and i never knew.

all i can say is, if you have a burning desire to try something, then just do it. coz i love my new hobby.

I had a burning desire to learn guitar, about 10 months ago. I play daily now and have 2 guitars, 3 amps and a heck of a lot of music in the house  'Teach' says that I am getting good at this music malarkey. I totally agree with you about having a desire to do something so just go do it . Nothing to lose and everything to gain

Great paintings buggi, and I see you've used quality paints too. You've completely hidden the numbers

I once had one of my drawings at school shown to the rest of the class as an example. The lying sod of an Art Master sneeringly asked me if I'd managed to complete it in a minute. What a cheek, it had taken me no more than thirty seconds.

I'm impressed, I have no drawing talent other than technical stuff, lost if it doesn't involve a circle or straight edge.
My daughter struggled with people until she bought a book on how to draw manga characters, one of her interests. People are difficult.

One question though, when are you going to sort your avatar out?

43 and i've only just found out i can paint. how fkd up is that??
You're practically a child prodigy compared with Anna Mary Robertson Moses, aka Grandma Moses, who didn't take up painting until she was well into her 70s and enjoyed a prominent late life career as a painter that lasted until her death at 101.
