you could use some sound deadening high density foam on the underside of the bottom plate. That would help alot with vibration transmission

The main boards are phenolic coated birch plywood 18mm(trailer board). It is hard surface, waterproof and looks clean . I was debating to go with clear laquer on plain plywood, but the cost and time was nearly as much as phenolic ply

I'm also using medium density foam on the underside plate . 5mm

@CXRAndy this look s a great design mate and I think im up for the challenge of making one myself? if you don't mind sharing of course where did you get the pivot point bearings from? is this the model you have the climb on? :okay:

what are your thoughts on, do you think it would be thick enough??https://www.envirobuild.com/product...MIivqj69OP3gIVQ7DtCh2A1wKHEAQYAiABEgJubfD_BwE

This is the company I bought them from https://www.bearingboys.co.uk/Pillow-Blocks/UCP204-Medway-20mm-Pillow-Block-Bearing-1778-p

Yes I have my climb on this rocker you see

I would go for the 18mm, but at a push 12mm https://www.envirobuild.com/collections/protective-waterproof-boards

I can stand on my 18mm plywood and it doesn't feel like its flexing under my, ahem weight

The sheets you're looking at are 8'x4' dimensions. To make use of one board, your first cut needs to be slightly on an angle to create a width on the turbo end of 2'6"(760mm)
If you get a basic shape like this with 760mm between the arrows. Obviously the pointy end is wider(limitations of my graphics skill)

I found a supplier who sold the sheet I wanted in 5'x2'6" so didnt have to be so careful with the initial design

I am thinking of building a board using a line of engine or gearbox mounts for the pivot and to provide some dampening. I looked on the Facebook group, but has anyone here done it?
