I've bought an Elite Supercrono Force smart trainer from Halfords and found the brief instructions not particularly helpful, leaving me with a couple of questions I'm hoping someone might be able to answer for me, please:

I assumed the section that holds the wheel has to be perpendicular to the floor, but if I fold it out like that the wheel is nowhere near the roller, so I've just pulled the frame back until the wheel is in contact with it - is this right? I am using the correct settings for my wheel size.

I've been left with two tiny screws and washers but I can't see anything in the instructions about what they're for. The handlebar resistance thingy has its own screw.

Aside from the racket, will I damage the elastogel roller if I use a knobbly MTB tyre? I have a slick one on order but would like to try out the trainer before then.

Thank you!

Hi, most of us on here have wheel off trainers (NEO or Kickr) so not sure you'll get much help I'm afraid. A few people on the Bkool thread still have Bkool Pro wheel on trainers so they might be able to help.

I have a wheel-on trainer from a different brand (Tacx) so don’t have any experience of this particular turbo trainer.

Can you post a photo of the issue you are having with lining the wheel up?

You mentioned that you’ve got it set correctly for your wheel size - it sounds like that’s worth double checking. The position that the frame is mounted is static (the skewer gets locked in place) so normally the resistance unit moves to accommodate different size wheels. On my trainer, the resistance unit can be screwed into different positions for major adjustments (wheel size), and there is a hand screw for minor adjustments (tyre diameters).
