I had a Tacx, didn't use it and sold it - then needed one form some rehabilitation so bought one of these - cheap and cheerful but it works - tension is worked with a screwed knob rather than the cable and trigger on the Tacx - other than that it's pretty much the same.

.... ah, I was too mean to buy the riser and have a piece of 2" timber with a couple of bits of MDF screwed either side to lift the front wheel and keep it level

I didn't have a riser block at all on mine and just assumed I was always going downhill. I'd pedal every now and again but prefer to freewheel
