Realised tonight that I dont like not being clipped in as I am on my roadbike so Im going clipless. I note some shoes are two bolt and some are four. Any reason/adantages for this ?

I think cleats are either 2 or 3 bolts. Although I've never bothered with it, I think the Look cleats do have a 4th bolt, but this holds a central bit of plastic, so you can replace cleats and be sure that you get an identical position.
I could be wrong though

SPD cleats require 2 bolts the shoes with 4 bolts holes offer two different cleat positions foward and back. Just to confuse you further more common on road bikes are SPD L which require 3 bolts and won't fit shoes with 2 or 4 holes . Personally I ride SPD as the cleat is recessed in the shoe and you can walk easily in them where as SPD L cleats sit proud of the shoe so walking is difficult
