I've got a sheet of Kevlar in my garage that my son gave me years ago. He's an engineer and it was knocking around so he thought I might find it useful. I decided I cut out a few 'patches' to stick in my saddle bag in case I blew a hole in the tyre or found a bit of tube sticking through the sidewall. I did have to use one last year I think it was.....anyway....has anyone ever tried cutting a sheet of Kevlar? Jeez, it's no wonder someone decided to use it in tyre construction. I've no idea how small sharps would ever get through that stuff. Cutting it was a real challenge.
