How do the 4 seasons compare to the GP4000S'?

I've been running 4 seasons since October & so far they've been bulletproof over around 2000 miles & aren't showing much in the signs of wear. I will however be putting the GP4000s back on soon, when the weathers better as IMO they do roll a bit easier.

I can't see the Rubinos being much better than the Hutchinson Equinox . My personal favourite tyre for club/audax cycling is the Continental Grand Prix, great grip and puncture resistance, a confidence inspiring tyre(and cheaper than the GP4000s2) and if extra puncture resistance is needed (never had a problem with regular Grand Prix tyres though) then Continental Grand Prix GT does this, excellent grip and puncture resistance but only available in 25c and has a small weight penalty.

That makes sense. To be honest, I bought the rubinos because they were cheap and red. They turn out to be brilliant tyres. Who'd have thunk it?
I use 700x23c Rubino Pros on my road bike and they've been great. They roll well and have good grip, even in the wet. I haven't had a puncture yet but I am careful where I ride.

Is that all you get from a set of road tyres?!
I'm currently on course for doing about 5k a year and was thinking I'd get at least a couple of years out of a set even if I rode them all year round - is this naive?
I've no experience of anything other than MTB tyres (I've had my current set on for 14 years! Though the bike was woefully underused for a big chunk of that) so am not even sure how I'll know when they need replacing if I can't see the tread wearing off! Increased punctures/decreased grip?
My new bike comes shod with Continental Grand Sport Race, 700x25c - does anyone have any experience of these? Can't find any reviews online.
I'm prob going to be riding them only in the dry weather, on (not great) roads and (decent) cycle paths and I weigh about 10stone - how many miles do people reckon I can expect out of them roughly based on that?
Yes that is all I get out of a rear, front would last a bit longer. I'm hard on tyres I keep the psi maxed so they tend to square off. If you had a set of tyres last 14yrs you ain't doing much riding! In fact surprised the rubber never perished ffs!

The only tyres I've got that are lasting years are the Continental gp4 seasons on my spare wheelset...

A pair of Continental Grand Prix last around 3000 km, after this they're too thin and squared.

Just when the Pro 4 SC's were sounding favourable too.

I am finding the GP4000S as a great tyre all year round so far. No visits from the P Fairy yet and looking good after 750 miles. Struggling not to buy another set at this point tbh.

Could move them back to the Bianchi and get 4 seasons for the Defy maybe.
I also know riders that use pro4's and have had no issues whatsoever. I briefly had GP4000's on my winter bike before I sold it, and tbh it was the only tyre where I could see a significant difference. I found them to be awesome !

It's looking very much like sticking with the status quo now. The GP4000S II's on offer at £59.99 for a pair actually puts them cheaper than the 4 seasons...

Schwalbe luganos for me. Done about 6000km since sept on current pair. Front barely worn. Rear starting to get a bit bald. Had about 3 punctures over that time due to glass. No issues with grip in day to day use.
