Morning everybody. I'm looking for tyres and tubes for my mavic ksyrium wheel set. These currently.dont have anything fitted to them and I will probably only use these during the summer months. I also need a few spare tubes.

Where is best place to purchase? I've been looking at wiggle so far. But it's a minefield out there.

What width tyres? Budget? Uses? Speed or weight vs puncture resistance?

Tubes doesn’t matter, just get ones that fit the tyres. I avoid continental and their awful flying cores. Michelin and Schwalbe are fine.
Cyclesurgery have a closing down sale, might have deals.
Once you’ve chosen your tyres, just google for best price otherwise

Currently have 23x700 on the winter wheels. So will probably stick with that size. I'm not sure on budget but wanna get as good a tyre as I can for the cheapest lol.

Vittoria Rubino, good performance for cost. I’d go up to 25mm if you have clearance.

tube https://www.merlincycles.com/michelin-airstop-presta-tube-40mm-valve-700c-44965.html

however, there are some v cheap 23mm tyres out there if you hunt as they’ve fallen out of favour

By no means the cheapest but I have both Continental Gatorskin and Gator Hardshell on my bikes. I got mine from Chain Reaction cycles for about £35 ish or so each.

For inner tubes I went with Shwalbe. Even when the bike is left for 4 months, the PSI only dropped from 105psi to 85psi!

Solid performance.

Blimey, I paid £18 for 25mm gatorskin On a Halfords special a while back. They’re a bit marmite, can be slippery.
I’ve got Mich pro endurance to go on next which were also bought on a bargain deal, also good tyres. They’re £25 from Decathlon currently 👍

Thanks for that. Do you know how long the valve is? If I remember rightly you have to get the correct length dont you?
They do different lengths, depends how deep your rims are, but 40mm are fine for normal rims
