Pedals also need to be horizontal with the ground!

Haha, thanks for the photography advice  I was a little excited but I need to be more careful in future

Took them out for a proper ride today and they were just lovely. Smooth, stiff. Didn't feel like a harsh ride. My bike feels like a totally different bike now.

I got a new QOM and few personal records :bicycle:

I am paranoid about it getting stolen as it attracted a bit more attention today than normal!

When I first got the Zonda's, they went on my Defy 1. Couldn't quite explain it, but the bike felt like it has been greased to within an inch of its life!

It just felt so much smoother and faster. Really transformed the bike.

Don't know how they affected the Bianchi as much, as put them on from day 1. Was a no-brainer really.

Must get a ride on the Defy with the Fulcrum 7's soon, to compare.

I have never ridden the Bianchi with the Fulcrum's on, but ridden both bikes with the Zonda's on. The upgrade of wheels on the Defy is almost as much as the upgrade from Defy to Bianchi. Therefore, I would have to agree with @Fab Foodie to some degree.

My mate reckons that a mate of his bought a fair prices Scott in the sale and swapped wheels for carbon aero jobbies costing around £800. His total spend equates closely to mine. He has ridden my Bianchi too and reckons that his mates Scott is nowhere near as nice or as fast as mine, despite the wheels being considerably more costly than mine.

Therefore, it must all be relative I guess. No point whacking £800 wheels on a mid range bike and expecting to see a huge gain compared to a better framed bike with decent but lower specced wheels.

I reckon that the Zonda's hit the sweet spot on mid range bikes perfectly!
