Tyres, tyres, tyres

sorry folks but am looking for advice on tyres. Running the stock Rouler on the Suffolk but the weather has proven how skittish they are to the extent that I cut my speed going down Wimbledon hill.
Soooo, any suggestions for grippy but fast, all weather for a heavy commute 28s would be much appreciated.
