There are rats the size of cats in Birmingham, though nobody but journalists have ever seen them.

I have started to see brown rats with really thick bodies though. They don't look native to the UK,

Parakeets in Margate are common and spreading I believe. There are beavers on the river here, fantastic to watch. Came home the other day and there was a Cormorant sitting on the boat roof drying his winds.

Cormorants are native to the UK. Mainly the Atlantic Cormorant, but also the Continental Cormorant.

I've seen one that was the size of a small dog in L*ndon about 20 years ago. It was next to Blackfriars station, so right in the centre.
I have started to see brown rats with really thick bodies though. They don't look native to the UK,
Bloody brown rats, coming over here... If you don't watch out, the local rats will be painting roundabouts and so on! 🤣
