I got 1 both for my home address and my work address, but I am suspicious of the granularity of the results, at least here. My work is next to a heavily used dual carriageway, and only about 1 mile from the M5. My home is less than 1 mile from the M5, and about half a mile from a busy dual carriageway. Even though there are lots of fields and trees around, I find the score of 1 rather optimistic.

This is a big issue but my concern is that comments like "Air pollution levels in London could stay above legal limits for the next decade if action isn't taken" and "Three-quarters of the postcodes which reach level five out of six are in London" will mean that draconian actions will be taken that mainly affect London, but will affect the rest of the country adversely.

As @C R says how can it be that granular, unless there are sensors at every postcode.

There are more sensors than you think, but only the worst are permanent and live reporting.

What do you mean will be taken? It's been going on for years. Most visibly, new buses get reassigned to outer London from the shires almost as soon as the unveiling launch story is out of the news and we get whatever old smoker they've rejected instead. I suspect similar happens with freight fleets.

I got 1 for where I live which is probably fair enough, but they have also given the whole county a 1 which may sound good but my nose tells me different especially as I cycle over the busiest motorway in the country at rush hour. xx(

1 for home, 1 for work.

And oddly nothing higher than a 2 for various locations around the city centre, which other reports state is one of the most highly polluted places in the UK - for which the council are using to push through a "clean air" charge...

OK work and home are 1, as is one of the roads into town towards one of two bridges over the river which is busy at rush hour. I commute by bike along that road.

I also looked at the busiest road into Lancaster that's a 2 and the road to b the motorway south of Lancaster (A6) is also a 1.

I do not quite believe that website somehow. I'm on that road every week and some of those 1 rated roads are not nice places to be stuck in traffic.
