Why would that be the case though? are you saying there may be a bit of green eyed monster on here somewhere.

I think band H is £225,000 and above after a quick google, I would imagine many on here have houses in that price range, and if further south a bit more.

CTAX bands are based on value as at 1/4/1991, which I would imagine is very different from 5/2/2017. There's a strong argument for increasing the number of bands.

To be fair, the income tax grab is just a temporary irritant, I won't have to pay it once I'm retired, hopefully not long now.
Its the council tax that's the killer, payable regardless of income.
