I don't post much of note, but enjoy reading all the different threads, often spilling drinks into my laptop
, but the last few days i've missed you all
. I have had no phone (also live in a mobile network free area) due to what the man at the BT Call Centre refers to as an an underground fault that can only be fixed by digging the road up. It seems to me there is a training need in fault identification needed.
.
This was the scene yesterday, some 5 days after the fault was reported. when a tractor with the front forks raised drove through the overhead line.
That dangly bit is my phone line, along with 40 other households. At least from today we now have a temporary connection, with a full fix promised in 5 days.
It's good to be back
