Mmm. Is it just me that thinks these posts are a little 'biting'? EMD and hackers have commented on it.

Your obviously on the wind up Lee, it is clear for everyone to see (I wonder if col and Mr Hippo will turn up now!). So I'll leave you to it.

Ill only turn up to say you seem to take everything very personally, and use that as an excuse to call people. A generalised opinion is turned into a personal attack on yourself by yourself, your either very insecure and suffer with paranoier, or you have a very large chip on your shoulder that you need to shed.
Iv only answered as you use me as an example as someone who winds up, when in actual fact you just dont like being dissagreed with.
My inclusion on your very elite ignore list was because I would argue with you, there was no wind up intent , you wound yourself up as I didnt back down to your interogation techniques. Lighten up and take it for what it is, a forum chat in good humour most of the time, and a little heated in others, but so what, its just opinions.
I let myself get wound up on a comment I didnt like and took it personally. That wont happen again, because when it comes down to it, its an opinion of people I dont know, and mostly never will, I was caught off guard due to being in a bad frame of mind and it was an outburst of which I am not proud, but it happens to us all sometimes.

people seem to be missing the obvious. KISS (keep it simple). That video it is relatively easy to make progress, stay legal and safe (assuming no cyclists behind you).

At the crossing get off, walk to the inner lane as a pedestrian and then remount bicycle. would only add a few seconds and totally legal.

I can often make far better progress in stationery traffic just walking my bike rather than waiting in a queue or doing something daft.

Admittedly will not work in all situations but it would have worked in that video (after checking for bikes behind)

Sometimes the simple answer is the best

Nobody has mentioned one of the main points which is just how FUNNY and STUPID she looks! I bet she went down the side of the bus to fit in with the "cool kids" and not look stupid. Well, that totally backfired...

Hey BenBorp, I've only just twigged where that junction is!:bravo:
I very rarely use Evelyn St. as I come round the back from New Cross to Surrey Quays, via Tundley's Rd. and then return from the opposite direction.

That is an awful piece of road planning(sic). Jeez.:becool:

I have a suspicion that if two lanes were available round that bend there would be some mightily impressive displays of driving f&*kwittery; executed at appreciably higher speed.

What sort of condition is Tundley's Road in tdr1nka? I'm wary of exploring round there as I've come across roads that are barely passable, either from gridlock or the fact that they appear to be maintained as mule tracks.

It is only a fairly recent change to that junction and yes, it was a complete free for all when it was two lanes.:bravo:

Trundly's Road is not pretty, something akin to a bombed runway. It also has vehicles parked on both sides and that lovely species of speed hump that makes oncoming drivers take the center of the road at speed.:becool:

Depending on your destination, you could cut thru from Evelyn St., just before the one way system, to Surrey Canal Rd. this has a designated cycle route past the Millwall ground and brings you out at South Bermondsey, from there you can go straight to Surrey Quays from the south, rejoining your route at the crossing just after the single lane bridge where you turn right to go toward Surrey Quays station.

(I do route planning with commuters as part of my instructor work, if I can be of help please feel free to send me a PM.)

Cheers tdr1nka, I've only one day left of a temporary three week spell commuting through this area so I'll stick with what I've settled on. Having looked at a map I now realize that I tried Tundley's Road on my first day and didn't particularly enjoy it. The biggest problems I have with drivers now seem to be in 20mph traffic calmed stretches.

The 'Rat Run' driver, I know him/her only too well.:bravo:
It's the main reason I tend to stick it out on the main roads with the buses, trucks and taxis and avoid local cycle routes like the plague.:becool:
