It has a faint whiff of chocolate but doesn't taste of any of the description.
Idea:
Give it to a baker.
One could use your "malt" to put in the tiramisu' coffee mix, or mixed with sugar syrup to soak sponges for continental cakes.
I guess you could use it for making a liqueur coffee too.

No that would be mouthwash. You might need to wear your glasses when getting a drink.😉

A few years ago I was given a gift set of miniatures, all went well until I opened a Islay malt, and then the Listerene taste struck.

I still managed to finish it though.

Unless it's Laphroaig which tastes like you've had a mouth full of raw peat soaked in the run off from a housefire. I say this as a lover of malt whisky.

It would be a boring life if we all thought the same.

So far, after much research, I have only found one single malt that I actually disliked. Tullibardine 225 Sauternes finish. It reminded me of the smell of the old rubber piping on the Bunsen burners at school

I'm now intrigued to check that one out!
I used to like that smell!

I've been very disappointed with laphroig "select" ie without an age statement. I bought a bottle thinking it a bargain but it was borderline minging, albeit I did drink it eventually. Their 10 year old is as good as ever (if you like that sort of thing), and still rather reasonably priced.

One of the very worst whiskies I've ever tasted was a dram from a £100 plus bottle of Ardbeg. Ironic really as I really like their mainstream 10 year old and their more youthful 5 year old "wee beastie". Also arguably the very best whisky I've ever had was also an Ardbeg which was a one off via the Malt Whisky society.

Lagavoulin 16, sadly a lot dearer than it used to be is another favourite, and their more modestly 8 is also very good. Coal Isla is lovely too.

I don't mind a bit of peat at and smoke, a bit being the operative word. Talisker is a favourite for instance. I find the peat and smoke in Laphroaig however are dialled up to 11 and just dominate, even with the addition of water, plus there's a medicinal tang that just adds to the yuck factor for me.
