I wonder how long before the stamp collecting and train spotting type anoraks start collecting tax discs. Imagine having every tax disk since their inception, not just every year but every month of every year. Would such a collection have a value other than it's novelty value. I have about a dozen if anyone is starting out!

...and if you laminate them, and call then "tax-disc beermats", then you've also got a beermat collection! 2 in 1! Get in!

People already collect tax discs it is called "velology" and there is a website for it here -> http://www.velology.com/

There was a bloke on Radio 2 the other week who said he had a collection of every type of tax disc ever produced.

Just collect a few old ones and stick them to your upper body and you'll look like this whilst saving nearly 50 quid in the process.

Hey, if anyone does have any old tax discs - I'd be willing to pay postage if you'd send them to me (Nah I'm not a veologist, I use 'em to make cycle art - I like the irony of the whole "do cyclists have the right to share the road with car dirivers) and make them into cyclists -
you can take a peek at them on my website which is www.treehuggery.co.uk -
thanks ;-)

When my son was very young and I had to get a new tax disc I used to give him the old one to stick on his toy car. He was made up and used to keep the old ones. Now he hates them as he now realises they cost him money.
