Can anybody recommend a USB microscope for examining soldered joints on pcbs? Ten or twenty times magnification would probably be fine.

I have no idea how good the image quality is with microscopes costing less than £50.

Any comments would be very welcome. Thank-you.

Maplins have one for under £50.
Not used it at home but was given a demonstration instore. Detail visible was fine.

Not certain if this applies to the one on sale but many are reported as being top heavy. So extra stability or small clamp may be required.

Thanks classic33. I'll nip down to my local branch with a sample pcb, and have a peek.
