USB power supply for AA Batteries?

Evening all,

It seems that more and more devices that I take touring with me can be charged using a USB port.

I normally try an borrow some electricity from behind the bar etc when I stop for a drink, but I'm wondering about a small AA powered box that I can carry for emergency charge.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of such a thing? I've seem the PortaPow device on eBay.

I have a Portapow AA powered charger, it works fine. I used it touring last year to charge my phone and GPS.

I got one of these,charges my GPS fine.

Ordered a portapaw from china to save a couple of quid. Wil take a couple of weeks to get here.

Thanks for the replies, just trying to fine out more about people's experiences with these things.
