I download the gpx file into my computer then upload it into Komoot for the directions.

I downloaded a route recently to Garmin Connect which was picked up immediately when I connected my Edge 530.

cycle.travel has an app now so you can use that! (But I’ll sometimes send a route to my Garmin.)

When using the cycle.travel app, I presume you mean using an app on your phone to navigate rather than downloading a route to a cycle computer such as a Garmin

Yes - but you can do the latter if you like by downloading a GPX file from c.t or using its Garmin Connect feature.

I tried using the CT app this morning but couldn’t get it to work properly. Thinking about it when I got home I had my Garmin linked to my blue tooth headphones so I think CT couldn’t sync as well as the Garmin is that right?

I will give the CT App a try, I'm not a great fan of Wahoo and Google maps hammers the phone battery so looking for alternatives.
