Just bought a tiagra 4650 chainset for my old boardman as i am fed up of replacing the BB every 6 months on the FSA powerdrive cheese set i have now .
It needs chainrings , i have read that it prefers shimano ones or will anything be fine , assuming i have the correct 5 bolt 110 bcd rings ?

Any decent make rings with 110mm BCD should be fine: Stronglight (at the expensive end), TA etc.
48t and 38t rings on clearance at Spa Cycles: https://www.spacycles.co.uk/m2b0s185p0/Parts-and-Accessories/Components-Gears-Chainrings-Clearance
or look at their other offerings eg' Zicral' or 'Dural' alloy.

Thanks all
As it happens the ebay shop i got the chainset from has 10 speed 105 chainrings they confirm match for £38 for the set , the same as i could get stronglight for so went for the shimano ones .
Now its just going to look odd with a sram apex groupset but hopefully the BB will last a bit longer
