Vacuuming, dusting, just keeping your home generally tidy. Do you bother or have you like me given up, finding it hard to keep on top of?

We have a cleaner in twice a week for £17 an hourly session, £34 well spent. We also have strict rules about using the bog brush every time and spills not being left.

I do the hoovering on Thursday morning to save MrsPete a job on Friday as I'm out early when she does the dusting & polishing etc.
I do the cooking, garden, cars & a little bit of washing but not much. I'm not allowed near the tumble drier and I'm excused pegs when the whirlygig is in use.
Washing up is whoever feels like it but I prefer doing it after gardening as it cleans my fingernails out properly.

Edit: MrsPete does the ironing & I walk the dog 🐶

Depends. Does it bother you living in an untidy/dusty house? Does the mess seem overwhelming and you don’t know where to start? Would you do it if it were less intimidating? If the answer to any of these is ‘yes’, it might be worth your while to spend the money and have a cleaner come in and ‘put it right’, so you can get into the habit again.
I prefer to live tidy & clean, if only from the aspect of not tripping over things and not sneezing every time I put a book down.
Good luck!

I vacuum daily (we have a labrador), dust twice weekly, bleach the toilets daily, tidy up daily, do the washing typically every second day. Doesn't take long if one keeps atop it all.

Very Roman - though they did use sponges instead of a brush.
I thought they just used slaves?
As regards hoovering, we have 3 robots The software on the latest one is very good. Has a camera and will ask you at the end which parts to leave out next time round.
I could get one of those... Only to see it disappear into a huge pile of stuff, never to be seen again, or for it to promptly get stuck (and possibly never to be seen again).
